The Boca Raton Airport Authority (BRAA) is excited to announce the grand opening of our new Observation Area, which took place on January 28, 2025. This innovative addition to our Airport promises to offer visitors an unparalleled experience in aircraft viewing and aviation education.
Our Observation Area is designed with both form and function in mind. The circular structure, which harmonizes beautifully with existing Airport buildings, provides a 360-degree viewing experience. Visitors will enjoy:
A circular design that provides a 360-degree, unobstructed viewing experience
Weather-resistant, shaded covering
Accessible ramps, ensuring inclusivity for all visitors
Comfortable seating, lighting, and amenities for visitors
Educational signage to inform guests about their observations
Live air traffic control tower radio feed for an immersive experience
“This new Observation Area represents our commitment to the Boca Raton community,” says Clara Bennett, Executive Director of the Boca Raton Airport Authority. “We’re not just building an Observation Area; we’re creating a space where aviation enthusiasts, families, and curious minds can come together to learn, observe, and be inspired by the wonders of flight.”
The Observation Area is free and open to the public daily from sunrise to sunset, offering our community a unique vantage point to enjoy the bustling activity of the Boca Raton Airport.
We look forward to sharing this new chapter in Boca Raton Airport’s history with you. Whether you’re an aviation enthusiast or simply looking for a new and exciting way to spend an afternoon, our Observation Area has something for everyone.
